Privacy policy

Who we are

This policy covers wproofs.com and the forms on it. It does not cover anything you send us on a third-party platform such as Google, Facebook or Instagram, which those companies control.

What we collect

There are only two ways this site collects anything about you.

You send us a form. The residential inspection form asks for your name, phone number, email address, the property address in four separate fields (street, city, state and ZIP), what the roof problem is, how you heard about us and whether you consent to text messages. The commercial bid form additionally asks about your company, your role, the building, its approximate size and age, the roof system and your timeline. The report-a-leak form asks for the building, your name and phone, where the leak is, how bad it is and whether the building is occupied. On every form you may attach photographs.

Your browser makes a request. Like every website, ours is served by a host — Vercel — which keeps standard server logs: IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser user-agent string. Those are operational and security records. We do not run an analytics product on this site. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel and no session-recording script anywhere on wproofs.com.

When you submit a form we also record, alongside your answers, the page you submitted from, the time, your IP address and your browser user-agent, and — if you ticked the box — the exact consent wording you were shown and its version. That record exists so that if you ever ask us to prove you agreed to be texted, we can show you what you actually read.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies of its own, which is why you have not been asked to dismiss a cookie banner. We store nothing in your browser to identify you or to follow you between sites, and we run no cross-site advertising or retargeting.

One third-party component is embedded in the forms: Cloudflare Turnstile, the “are you a human” check that keeps automated spam out of our inbox. It is loaded from challenges.cloudflare.com and it manages its own storage and tokens on Cloudflare’s domain in order to work. Cloudflare states that Turnstile is not used to build advertising profiles; how they handle it is described in Cloudflare’s own privacy documentation, and we do not receive anything from it beyond a pass or fail. If your browser blocks it, the forms still work — every form on this site submits and validates without JavaScript.

Photographs you upload

Photographs attached to a form are stored in Vercel Blob storage, our host’s file service, and are attached to your enquiry in our systems. We use them to understand the problem before we come out. We do not publish a customer photograph as marketing without asking. The project photographs on this site are our own, taken by our crews on the job, and we exclude any frame showing a house number, a number plate, a readable document or an identifiable face we have not cleared.

Text messages and phone calls

The SMS consent checkbox on our forms is optional and unticked by default. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of buying anything from us, and we will still call or email you about your enquiry if you leave it unticked. The sentence next to the checkbox, printed here word for word as it appears on the form (version tcpa-2026-09-v1), is:

I agree to receive text messages from Waypoint Roofing and Construction Co. at the phone number I provided, about my inspection, estimate and job. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy.

Message frequency varies with your job — expect appointment confirmations, arrival notices, and messages about your inspection, estimate or work in progress, not marketing campaigns. Message and data rates may apply according to your plan with your mobile carrier.

Reply STOP to any message from us to be unsubscribed; we will send one final confirmation and then stop. Reply HELP for help, or call (512) 305-1111 and ask us to take you off. You can also email info@wproofs.com. Opting out of texts does not cancel your job and does not stop us phoning you about work already under way, unless you ask us to stop that too.

Mobile information collected for the purposes of SMS consent is not sold, rented or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.

What we do with it

• Call or write back to you about your enquiry.
• Schedule and carry out the inspection, and produce your photo report.
• Price, schedule and complete work you ask us to do, and invoice for it.
• Keep a record of the job, including photographs, for warranty purposes.
• Keep our own records of consent, contracts and payments as the law requires.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We have never done so.

Who else touches it

Only the service providers we need to run the business, each acting on our instructions: our website host and file storage (Vercel), our spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile), our email provider, our text-message provider, and our customer and job-management system. We also share what is necessary with insurers, adjusters and manufacturers when your own job requires it, and with our accountants and lawyers. We will disclose information if a law, subpoena or court order requires it, or to protect somebody’s safety.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that never become jobs are kept for up to two years, so that we can find the history if you come back. Job records, including job photographs, are kept for the life of the workmanship guarantee and our records obligations. Text-message consent records are kept for five years after our last contact with you — that is deliberate, because a consent record you have destroyed cannot protect either of us. An opt-out never deletes a consent record; it supersedes it, and the opt-out itself is recorded.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS only, form submissions travel encrypted, and access to our customer records is limited to the people at Waypoint who need it. No system is perfectly secure and nobody who tells you otherwise is being straight with you.

Your choices

• Ask what we hold. Email info@wproofs.com and we will tell you.
• Ask us to correct it if it is wrong.
• Ask us to delete it. We will, except where we have to keep something — a completed contract, an invoice, or a consent record inside its retention period. We will tell you what we kept and why.
• Stop the texts by replying STOP, or the emails using the unsubscribe link, or the calls by asking us on the phone.

We do not charge for any of this and we will not make you create an account to do it. Requests go to info@wproofs.com or (512) 305-1111.

Children

This site is for homeowners and building owners. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, email us and we will delete it.

Other sites

Where we link out — to a manufacturer, to a public storm-events database, to our own Google listing — that site’s own privacy policy applies once you leave. We do not control what they collect.

Changes

If we change this policy we will change the date at the top and, where the change is material, say what changed. The SMS consent wording is versioned separately and is never edited in place: new wording means a new version, and anyone who agreed to the old one agreed to the old one.
