The short answer
This is our own tool, built around the products we install: Malarkey, CertainTeed and McElroy Metal colours, 42of them. The shingle tiles you pick from are the manufacturers' own photographs, so you are choosing between real blends rather than between three hex values. What the tool then produces is an approximation — a generated picture of your house with a different roof on it, close enough to choose between colours and not close enough to treat as a photograph of the finished job. Colours on a screen are not colours in daylight, and a render is not a measurement.
What decides anything real is still an inspection. A HAAG-certified inspector walks every slope, photographs what is up there, and tells you what the roof needs and what it costs. The visualizer answers one question — which colour — and it answers it well.

Common questions
Is this what my roof will actually look like?
It is close, and it is not a photograph. The tool changes the roof on your own picture, so the shape of your house, the trees and the light are all yours — but the render is generated, and small things can shift. Use it to choose between colours, not to sign off on one. Before we order anything we bring real samples and hold them against your brick in daylight, which is the only comparison that settles it.
Are the colours accurate?
The tiles you pick from are the manufacturers’ own photographs of the shingle, so the blend and the texture are real. The colour is still an approximation: a photograph on your screen is not a shingle in daylight, the metal chips are drawn from the published finish colours rather than photographed, and your display has its own opinion about all of it. Two colours that look close here can look nothing alike on a roof.
What happens to the photo of my house?
It goes to the image service that generates the render and it is not kept there. We do not store it either — it lives in your browser tab and it is gone when you close it. Nothing you do in the tool sends us your name or your address, and nobody calls you because you tried a colour.

Can I use this instead of an inspection?
No. This picks a colour. Whether your roof needs replacing, what your policy owes and what the job costs are all decided by a HAAG-certified inspector walking every slope and photographing what is up there. The two are different questions.
